PHILIPSBURG- The Philipsburg Revitalization Corporation and Philipsburg Borough in partnership with the Moshannon Valley Veterans Association are encouraging borough residents to decorate, drape, and/or don red white and blue at their home or business in support of their upcoming celebration.

During the weekend of May 18 and 19 the Moshannon Valley Veteran Association will be celebrating the efforts of those who have helped bring the Killed In Action monument to fruition as well as recognizing those who have served. The weekend will include a dinner dance on Friday evening, an awards ceremony, a grand parade, and dedication of the monument on Saturday.

The PRC and the Borough of Philipsburg are encouraging local residents and business owners to decorate their buildings with red, white, and blue bunting, banners, drapes, and flags as a show of support as we celebrate the accomplishments and sacrifices of our veterans, young and old, and to rally the community to continue their support of all of our local veterans.

The PRC is selling banners, drapes, and flags for this purpose. To order yours contact Emily Doyle, Philipsburg Main Street Manager, 814-342-2260, Emily@mvedp.org.
