Rosemary Paul Bonsall, 86, of Fredericksburg, VA, died Feb. 23. She was born June 8, 1925, in Philipsburg, and grew up in Clearfield.
Mrs. Bonsall was the daughter of the late Charles James Paul and Eva Shaffer Paul Schalk. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be remembered with love for her beauty, her kindness, her charm and her strong spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lynn Bonsall. She is survived by her loving children, Cheryl DeBlasi and her husband, Robert; Richard Bonsall and his wife, Janet; and Stephen Bonsall and his wife, Lisa.
Surviving are six grandchildren, Jennifer, Gregory, Melissa, Richard, Victoria and Stephen and four great-grandchildren, Althea, Svea, Benjamin and Reese. She is also survived by a host of family members and friends who remember her with great affection. Whether called Aunt Ro, Gammy, Mrs. Bonsall or simply Mom, she was loved and cherished by all who knew her.
Mrs. Bonsall retired in 1981 after 16 years as assistant to the registrar-Rutgers University. After retirement, she and Richard owned and operated Wholesale for Kids in Curwensville, with David and Carol Bonsall.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc.  300 State St., Curwensville, Pennsylvania 16833.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bonsall will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Robert Ludrowsky officiating. Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
