CLEARFIELD – Drainage work will close state Route 879 on July 11 and 12 in Pike Township, near the Pike/Penn Township line in Clearfield County. Dependent on weather and work progress, PennDOT Clearfield County Maintenance crews may also be working July 13.
The work zone is located between Curwensville and Grampian, near the Gambler’s Inn (formerly Wildwood Inn). A detour will be in place during the closure. Drivers will be directed to use SRs 453, 969, and 729. Message boards alerting drivers to the closure will be in place on SR 879.
