DUBOIS – DuBois City Council voted to award the Fire School addition project to W.W. Gildersleeve & Sons for $67,800. The choice was made based off of the recommendation of Lee Simpson and Associates, Inc. and the DuBois Fire Chief.
Gildersleeve & Sons were the cheapest bid for the total base bid and alternative work combined and for the base bid. The other two bids released in the media information were in the $80 thousand range. All the bids exceed the engineer’s estimate of $54,000 for the planned work.
The addition is being financed by a grant.
