Nancy (Nida) Saupp, 87, of Smithmill, passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Nov. 20, 2010 at Epworth Manor , Tyrone, PA.
She was born on May 23, 1923 in Smithmill, a daughter of the late John and Fenia (Chabalo) Nida.
Mrs. Saupp was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey and was a homemaker.
On May 23, 1942 in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church she married Frank “Fatty” Saupp who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2004.
Mrs. Saupp is survived by a son and a daughter, Larry Saupp and his wife Ruth of Smithmill and Maria Doman of Jeffersonville, PA.
She is survived by two great grandchildren; Ryan Saupp and his wife Ashley and Brenna Saupp of Smithmill. One great great grandson also survives.
Mrs. Saupp is survived by a brother, Harry Nida of Houtzdale. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, James T. Saupp on Oct. 7, 2006; three sisters, Anna Amato, Kathryn Mistretta and Marion Murawski; and a brother, Frank Nida.
Friends will be received on Nov. 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Nov. 24 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc Ramey. A Panikhida service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be served on Nov. 24 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey, with Fr. Will Rupp officiating.
