G. “Mae” Kyler, 82 of Clearfield, PA, passed away on Nov. 8, 2010 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH.
Born on April 18,1928 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of Thurston W. and Edith M. (Crain) Livergood.
Mrs. Kyler had been employed as a clerk by various businesses throughout Clearfield over the years. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Clearfield. Mrs. Kyler was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #379, where she was a past Matron. She was also a former member of the Clearfield Women’s Club.
Mrs. Kyler is survived by three children: Marsha A. Shifter and her husband Duane, Richard B. Kyler and his companion Vickie McCauslin all of Clearfield and Sharon L. Dormire and her husband Rod of Boca Raton, FL; six grandchildren: Brian Shifter, Kevin Shifter and his wife Autumn, Jeffrey Shifter and his wife Adrianne, Nikolas Kyler, Jamie Kyler and Andrew Dormire; one great-grandson, John Shifter; a sister, Jean Price and her husband James of Clearfield. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul B. Kyler, whom she married on Aug. 7, 1946 and who died on Nov. 19, 1990; three sisters; four infant brothers and a daughter in-law, Vickie Kyler.
Funeral services will be held on Nov. 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E. Locust Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 with Rev. Joel Leininger officiating. Interment will follow in the Eden Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Nov. 11 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #379 will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Thursday at 6:45 p.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Free Methodist Church, 520 Turnpike Avenue, Clearfield, PA 16830.
