University Park, Pa. — Penn State students wanting to travel to Iowa City for the Oct. 2 prime time clash against the Hawkeyes can purchase a ticket at Gate B (northeast corner) of the Bryce Jordan Center beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 27.

A limited number of tickets will be made available on a first-come, first served basis for the Big Ten Conference opener for both teams. Each student will be permitted to purchase one $65 ticket and must present a valid Penn State ID+ Card to secure a ticket. All sales of all tickets will be done on a cash only basis credit cards and checks will not be accepted.

Students wanting to purchase tickets so that they may sit together at the game will need to make their ticket purchase together at Gate B of the BJC Monday morning. Students may arrive at the Jordan Center at 6 a.m. on Monday for the sale.

Should demand dictate it, tickets will be sold through a wristband lottery. If the number of students in line by 7 a.m. exceeds the number of student tickets allocated for the Iowa game, a wristband lottery will be held. Students not in line by the time of the sale, 7 a.m., will not be included in the wristband lottery, should one be held.

If student tickets still remain after 8 a.m. on Monday, the sale will move from Gate B to the Athletic Ticket Office inside the BJC. Student tickets will not be available after 4 p.m. on Monday.

The Penn State-Iowa series is tied, 11-11. The visiting team has won 14 of the 22 meetings.

No. 23/20 Penn State (2-1) hosts Temple on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in its final non-conference game. The No. 18 Hawkeyes (2-1) host Ball State on Saturday. The clash with the Hawkeyes will kick at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT in Kinnick Stadium and air on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. The televising network will be announced by Monday.
