Police Report: PSP-Philipsburg

Police are investigating the theft of a blue and white 2007 Yamaha XT225 with a Pennsylvania registration of XPM51. Corey Burke reported that someone took the vehicle from 3911 Halfmoon Valley Road. The person fled in an unknown direction. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 342-3370.
Police are investigating an incident of sexual abuse of children in Worth Township, Centre County. The incident was reported to Centre County Children and Youth Services. The caller wished to remain anonymous. CYS then called the police.
A one vehicle accident occurred as a 19-year-old Tyrone man was traveling in the northbound lane of state Route 3040. He traveled off the roadway and onto the west berm. The 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 struck a culvert with its middle front end and rolled over while it was airborne. The truck then struck an embankment with its right rear side and rear end before landing on its roof. After impact, the truck slid into the middle of the roadway. He was not wearing his seatbelt and was taken to Mt. Nittany Medical Center by Port Matilda Ambulance for minor injuries. Hughes will be cited for roadways laned for traffic. Police were assisted by Port Matilda Fire Company. SR 3040 was closed for one hour due to the accident.
