Irma G. Shope, 77 of Clearfield died on April 17, 2010 at her residence.
She was born on Dec. 17, 1932 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Enoch and Cynthia (Howell) Grice.
Mrs. Shope was a homemaker.
She was a member of West Side United Methodist Church, Clearfield.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice R. Shope, Jr. whom she wed July 17, 1952 in Olanta, two daughters:
Susan Boob and husband Jack Clearfield
Cynthia Atkinson and husband John Centreville, VA
four grandchildren:
Christina Ramon and husband Eric Livermore, CA
Brad Boob and wife Kristin Hollidaysburg
Robert Atkinson Centreville, VA
Matthew Atkinson Centreville, VA
three great grandchildren Joshua Ramon, Alyssa Ramon, Jackson Boob;
two sisters,
Beatrice Harper and husband Richard Clearfield
Beverly Fullerton and husband Richard Hyde
and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Violet Frankhouser, a brother Walter Grice and an infant sister Roxie Irene Grice.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to West Side United Methodist Church, 317 Nichols Street, Clearfield or to The American Diabetes Association, Inc., 4617 Winthrop Street, Pittsburgh PA 15213.
