– Police were called to the Wal-Mart Super Center for a suspicious vehicle and to check the welfare of an unknown male.
– Police were called to Fashion Bug for a theft of services. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
– Police were called to a two-vehicle accident along Old Town Road at the Kwik Fill Gas Station. At arrival, officers learned a vehicle driven by Michael L. Spila, of Curwensville, was traveling in an easterly direction in the passing lane. At this time, he attempted to turn into the Kwik Fill parking lot. Spila, however, failed to see a vehicle in the right lane. The Spila vehicle collided with the driver’s side door and fender area of a vehicle operated by Paul Harraka, of New Jersey. The Harraka vehicle was traveling in the same direction at the time of impact. The Harraka vehicle attempted to avoid the collision and swerved to the right side of the roadway, where it came to a rest in the Clearfield Imports parking lot.
– Police were called to the County National Bank along Old Town Road for a disorderly male who was harassing employees. The Sykesville man was removed from the property and advised not to return, or he’d be arrested for criminal trespass.
– Police were called to Bowman’s Hill Road for a medical emergency.
– Police received a complaint of theft by unlawful taking at a residence on Wrigley Street.
– Police received a four-wheeler complaint on Hill Street. Officers spoke with a juvenile male and advised him of the complaint. They said he was informed he would be arrested if he continued to travel on the roadway with his ATV.
– Police are investigating an incident of cruelty to animals that occurred along Log Cabin Road. Officers reported that unknown person(s) killed guinea birds, which are similar to chicken. Two were found shot, while several others were missing. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
– Police responded to a traffic complaint along River Road.
– Police responded to a hold up alarm at a local business. Officers arrived and found it was activated by accident.
– Police were called to the Edgewood Apartments for an unwanted person. The incident was handled at the scene.
– Police received a call for a person who was possibly driving under the influence along state Route 879. Officers were handling another incident at the time of the complaint.
– Police received a complaint about an incident of harassment at the middle school.
– Police received a report about a domestic incident on Powell Avenue in Hyde. All parties were separated as a result.
