CLEARFIELD – A Curwensville man accused of firing shots at his family and state troopers posted bail.
According to court officials 38-year-old Michael D. Guelich posted bond and is out on supervised bail.
According to a prior report, Guelich was allegedly engaged in a domestic dispute with his wife at their residence. Troopers stated at the scene, they found Guelich’s wife and children on the first floor of the home. They stated that he was in the basement and armed with several weapons.
Police said that Guelich discharged a firearm as they escorted his wife and children from the residence. They indicated that he fired a bullet toward the first floor area of the residence.
Police said they then exited the residence with the family. While returning to attempt to apprehend Guelich, they reportedly observed him traveling toward them on Ridge Road in his truck. Guelich then attempted to run three state police patrol vehicles off the roadway.
Police said that Guelich was apprehended at approximately 12 p.m. Sunday by state troopers at his camp near Sinnemahoning State Park in Clinton County without incident.
