A Wellness fair will be held at the DuBois Middle school from 12 – 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11. A table with Red Cross Information and some giveaways will be a part of the fair. The Chapter will need a couple of volunteers to set up, watch the table and tear down afterward.
If you are available for any of these events, please email or call the office and let us know when and how you are able to help. Thank You.
An Instructor Training Course will be scheduled. The Chapter will be holding an Instructor Training Course in October. If you are interested in being able to teach Red Cross Health and Safety Courses, this is your opportunity. The Chapter will be posting the class schedule soon. If you are interested, please contact the chapter office.
Volunteering: The American Red Cross is always looking for people who are interested in using their special gifts and talents to support the mission. You can choose how much or how little you can get involved. Maybe you could help out with a Red Cross event once a year, or would like to be on a committee that meets every other month. Perhaps you are interested in teaching and have three hours every couple of months to volunteer teach a community health and safety class. Maybe you like working with people and could spend a couple of hours a month helping with a blood drive or manning a booth at a Red Cross Event. If you are looking for a leadership role, consider chairing a committee or submit your name for consideration for a seat on the Chapter Board of Directors. Our Disaster Action team is always looking for individuals willing to get help during a disaster. Training is required for Disaster response so please contact us for more information if this interests you.
Contact the chapter office for more information on how you can become a Red Cross volunteer. We look forward to hearing from you.
