CLEARFIELD – Trevor Flanagan fired five shutout innings and Derrick Snyder drove in three runs as Clearfield rolled to a 9-2 win over Brookville in fall baseball action at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park Field Sunday afternoon.
Flanagan racked up 13 strikeouts and surrendered only two hits and one walk en route to his third victory in five decisions.
Snyder relieved in the sixth and gave up both Brookville runs, one earned, and four hits over three frames. He fanned three and walked none.
Kurtis Krise closed out Clearfield\’s fifth victory against six losses, allowing only two walks.
Snyder had a two-run single and a run-scoring grounder, while Luke Peterson singled twice and scored two runs and Krise also scored a pair of runs.
Anthony Black led Brookville with two singles. Dan Ion singled across the visitors\’ runs.
Clearfield, which had Saturday\’s home double-header with Moshannon Valley rained out, is booked for a nine-inning home game with St. Marys Saturday at 1 p.m. and a twinbill at State College Sunday at 1.
