Florida Resident Suffers Major Injury in Accident

PINE TOWNSHIP – A 63-year-old and 64-year-old Madeira Beach, FL man and woman were flown via Stat MedEvac to the Altoona Hospital after a Saturday afternoon accident in Pine Township, the DuBois-based State Police reported today.

Police said that Thomas Brennan, 63 of Madeira Beach, FL, sustained “major injury.” The report listed vehicle operator Virginia Brennan, 64 of Madeira Beach, FL with “moderate injury.”

According to the report, (Virginia) Brennan was traveling west on Interstate 80, when for unknown reasons her vehicle exited the south berm of the roadway. Police said the Brennan vehicle traveled approximately 110 feet in a southwest direction at which point it impacted with trees.

Police said, then, the Brennan vehicle overturned at least one-and-a-half times as a result. The vehicle continued to travel southwest for about 65 feet while striking more trees and limbs.

Police said that the interstate was closed for approximately a half hour for Stat MedEvac transported the injured man and woman from the scene.
