LEWISBURG, Pa. – All-American Matt Kyler of Clearfield remained undefeated in dual meets with a decision as Army defeated host Bucknell 21-15 in an Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association match Nov. 24.
The junior 149-pounder downed Bison sophomore Kevin LeValley 10-3. LeValley, the 2007 Colorado Wrestler of the Year, was a four-time state champion with a 152-6 career record and a state-record 260 near falls.
Kyler, 5-0 in duals and 11-2 overall, was ranked No. 7 by Amateur Wrestling News and No. 10 by Intermat/National Wrestling Coaches Association/National Wrestling Media Association last week and moved up one notch to No. 11 in this week\’s Wrestling Insider Magazine rankings.
Army is off to a 3-1-1 start with two EIWA wins.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Lock Haven junior 174-pounder Derek Caldwell of Curwensville finished 1-2 in the Mat Town Open Saturday.
After being pinned in 1:56 by eventual runner-up Shane Smith of The Ville, Caldwell decisioned Keith Hynson of Bloomsburg 9-2 but then was eliminated by Columbia\’s Travis Creagan, who registered a 12-1 major decision.
Caldwell is 2-4 in two tournament appearances.

MEN\’S BASKETBALL
GREENSBURG, Pa. – Freshman Todd Hryn of Clearfield scored four points in Pitt-Greensburg\’s two non-conference road losses last week.
The 6-5 guard hit one of two free throw attempts in an 89-54 defeat by St. Vincent and nailed a three-pointer in the Bobcats\’ 82-75 setback against Seton Hill.
A starter in three of UPG\’s four games, Hryn has scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds. He also has two assists and one steal.
Pitt-Greensburg will begin its Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference schedule with an 0-4 record.
