Hershey — Clearfield heavyweight Sean Owen will go for the Gold Saturday night at the Giant Center in Hershey.
Owen posted a dramatic pin with seven seconds left in his semi-final bout to advance. Down 6-3 to Mechanicsburg’s Danny Estricher, Owen hit a desperation cement mixer to earn the fall.
Owen (40-1) will face off against Abington Heights’ Evan Craig (41-0). The sophomore, Craig, defeated Dan Nickoli of Central Dauphin East 7-3 in his semi-final match. Nickoli handed Owen his one loss on the season.
Owen will be making Clearfield’s first finals appearance since Brad Pataky’s loss in 2005.
The Finals begin at 8:00 pm Saturday night and will be shown live on the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN).
