DUBOIS – With winter continuing and no end in sight, one area municipality is finding winter road supplies hard to come by.
Sandy Township Manager Dick Castonguay noted Monday night that maintaining winter maintenance materials is becoming a challenge.
“We’re running very short on material,” said Castonguay.
Castonguay said that everyone is after salt and anti-skid. He said that suppliers are scrambling to get the materials available for consumers and in some instances are backed up.
Castonguay added that the shortage of materials will result in a different approach to how the township handles bad roads.
