Bettis to Speak at Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK – Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis will speak March 25 at the Bryce Jordan Center on Penn State’s University Park campus as the next lecturer in the Student Programming Association Distinguished Speakers Series. Tickets will be available to University Park students beginning  Feb. 25.

One free ticket will be available with a valid student ID beginning Monday. Based upon availability, tickets will be available to the general public on March 10. Tickets can be picked from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays at Eisenhower Auditorium; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the Penn State Downtown Theatre; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays at the Bryce Jordan Center; and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. weekdays at the HUB-Robeson Center.

Bettis, considered one of the best big running backs in NFL history, played from 1993-2005 with the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams and the Steelers. He is the NFL’s fifth all-time leading rusher and retired after winning the Super Bowl with the Steelers in 2006. He is now a commentator for the NFL Network and NBC.
