DUBOIS – Learn how to quit smoking over lunch.
DuBois Regional Medical Center is hosting an American Lung Association “Freedom from Smoking” class to teach people how to stop smoking. Trained facilitators help participants stop tobacco use.
The first classes run from noon to 1 p.m., starting Monday, Feb. 25, in Room 202 of the DuBois Educational Foundation building at the Penn State DuBois Campus. Classes follow for the next seven weeks on March 3, 17, 19, 24 and 31, and May 7.
Many medications can now help with smoking cessation. These medications are a component of the program. Financial aid for the medications is available for those who qualify.
