WEST DECATUR – In the October township meeting, Boggs Township officials announced they had been offered property that that once held the old Blue Ball school.
Fire destroyed the former school earlier this year.
The current owner, Thomas R. Wick, offered the property to Boggs Township with the only monetary cost being that of any taxes held against it. After a unanimous vote the supervisors agreed to accept the property. In the absence of Mr. Wick from the monthly meeting, the supervisors filled out the proper paper work they had been given ahead of time.
“Our dreams are that will one day be a park for the community there,” said Supervisor Bill Dickson. “It won’t happen overnight. It will take some time.”
