CSB Bank Cashes Out Forever Friday

CURWENSVILLE – Beginning Monday, CSB Bank will be no more. The financial institution will officially change its name to Northwest Savings Bank.

The Warren-based Northwest announced the acquisition of CSB Bank and Penn Laurel Financial Corp., the holding company for CSB, in January.

As part of the changeover, CSB Bank locations will close at 2 p.m. Friday and remain closed all day Saturday. Employees will complete the transfer of bank records during this time.

At 8 a.m. Monday, CSB Bank will officially become Northwest Savings Bank.

When the merger was announced, Wesley M. Weymers, president and CEO of Penn Laurel, stated, “We are extremely excited with the prospect of becoming part of the Northwest Bancorp team. Northwest has developed a superb reputation in the industry as a community banking organization that delivers quality products and services to its customers.”

Customers of CSB Bank should have or will soon be receiving new checks, ATM cards, payment books and other bank documents in the mail.

Those who have questions should call or visit a bank office during business hours or call the expanded-hours central help desk at 877-672-5678 (option 5) from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

An operator on the help line told GantDaily that ATM cards issued by CSB Bank would continue to function through 8 a.m. Monday.
