CLEARFIELD – Thieves broke into a Clearfield restaurant early Saturday morning, making off with an unknown amount of money.
Clearfield Borough Police report that about 1 a.m., someone entered the restaurant by prying open the rear door. Once inside, they found and emptied several bank bags that had money inside.
The perpetrators also dumped a container of cooking oil throughout the dining area, police report.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
While police did not identify the restaurant, Spanky’s Courthouse Cafe had a sign in their window Monday indicating that they were closed due to a break-in.
