The Gant Daily athlete of the week for February 5 through February 11 is actually a team of athletes.
The Curwensville Lady Tide, coached by Vic Gearhart, earn this week\’s award.
The girls went 3-0 for the week to sew up the MVL title, the Southern Division of the AML, and set the school record for wins at 18 (and counting!).
Earning honorable mention for the week is another girls basketball team – the Lady Bisons of Clearfield. Clearfield also went 3-0 for the week, setting up a huge game on Tuesday night vs. Curwensville.
A number of girls from each squad had weeks that were worthy of mention, but this week\’s award is a team award.
