DUBOIS – Penn Traffic spokesman Marc Jampole of Jampole Communications confirmed that the Sandy Plaza BiLo will be closing in the near future.
Jampole said that the Sandy Plaza BiLo is underperforming compared to the other BiLo in DuBois on Main Street. He said that they will begin implementing a program to encourage Sandy Plaza shoppers to go to the Main Street BiLo. It is a strategy that has worked well in other areas, said Jampole.
Jampole said that he understood it will be inconvenient for long-time shoppers of the Sandy Plaza location. He said, however, that the DuBois population can only support one BiLo.
No date was given as to when the Sandy Plaza BiLo will close, though Jampole did say it would be within the next few weeks.
