Anna L. (Hockenberry) Kephart, 70, of Madera passed away at 5:31 p.m, July 12, 2012 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Anna was born at Osceola Mills on July 11, 1942, a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Ann (Peters) Hockenberry. She was a homemaker and work at the former J.B.C. Sewing Factory, Madera and the Cigar Plant in Philipsburg for a short time.
Anna is survived by five children; Donald Philips of Pittsburgh; Tracy Kephart and her companion, Donald Bunnell of Madera; Albert “Micky” Kephart, Jr of Madera; Gloria Kephart of Houtzdale and Sandra Kephart and her companion, Hugo Travis of Madera.
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Shawn, Dustin, Jack, Amber, Holly and Glorianna; and a number of great grandchildren.
Anna is survived by her companion, Edward R. Smith of Madera and the following siblings; Mary Mae Redman of Wheeling, WV; Roy Hockenberry and his wife Ink of Osceola Mills; Isabel Crouse of Street, MD; Peg Fish and her companion Chuck Herr of Osceola Mills; Joe Hockenberry of Missouri; half-sister, Gertrude Hayward and her husband David of Osceola Mills; and half-sister, April Cowfer and her husband Donald of Osceola Mills. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Anna is also survived by the father of four of her children, Albert “Micky” Kephart, Sr of Madera.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather and a brother, Erman.
Friends will be received on July 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on July 18 from 9-11 a.m. at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Madera.
Funeral Services will be held on July 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Madera with Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Interment will follow in the Centre United Methodist Cemetery, Decatur Twp. Condolences may be sent to; condolences@kruisefuneralhome.com.
