An Albert Court man reported June 13 that his wallet was stolen in May. Since the theft, he’s learned his Capital One card was used at the DuBois Mall and Mike’s Bi-LO in Reynoldsville. The incident remains under investigation in conjunction with the Reynoldsville Borough and the Sandy Township police.
A Quarry Avenue woman reported an incident of theft and trespassing on June 13. Police learned that it was a civil issue but were called again about a male who was blocking in a female’s car. The male was directed to remove the vehicle.
A Pifer Street woman reported June 13 that her neighbor was harassing her by placing surveillance cameras around his home and directed toward her home. Police inspected the cameras and recording angle and determined there hadn’t been any criminal act.
On June 13, police were dispatched to the intersection of South Church Street and East Washington Avenue for a vehicle that was parked in the middle of it. Police located the vehicle’s owner and asked that it be moved immediately.
Police responded to the old Pizza Hut on Liberty Boulevard for a reported open door. The arrived and determined it was an attached portion of the building, and the main portion of it wasn’t accessible.
Police were dispatched to the Eastside Sports Bar for a reported large group of males who were fighting outside. While police were en route to the scene, they were advised the males were leaving in two vehicles. One was located at the Best Western. During the investigation, two males fled the vehicle but were later located and detained. They were cited for public drunkenness and released to friends. No other arrests were made. Police were assisted by the Sandy Township police.
On June 14, police were dispatched to the area of North Stockdale Street for someone who was attempting to call 911 in excess of 20 times. They were able to locate the woman with GPS tracking. She was trying to summon police to her residence by calling. However, there were issues with her telephone and she didn’t believe the call was going through. Police learned that there wasn’t any emergency.
Police received numerous reports on June 14 about a bear in the area of East Park Avenue and Highland Street. The animal wasn’t located.
A two-vehicle accident occurred June 14 at the intersection of North Brady Street and Scribner Avenue. The accident was witnessed by a Sandy Township police officer. It was determined that a 41-year-old Punxsutawney woman was stopped on North Brady Street for a red light at Scribner Avenue when an 18-year-old man failed to stop and rear-ended her vehicle. No arrests were made.
On June 14, DuBois City police assisted the Indiana-based state police in locating two girls who had reportedly ran away. State police obtained information that they were in DuBois. A short time later, the girls were located on West Long Avenue and taken into custody. Police transported the girls to Punxsutawney and released them to the state police.
Police are investigating the theft of a license plate from a vehicle parked at the DuBois Regional Medical Center – West. A DuBois woman reported on June 14 that her 2003 Chevrolet Impala was parked there from 7 p.m. June 13 until 3 p.m. June 14.
