CLEARFIELD – Jeff Fink, president of the Clearfield County Fair and Park board, confirmed that the man protesting the sales of hate-related merchandise was at the Clearfield County Fair earlier Wednesday.
Since Tuesday afternoon, local attorney Steve Jarrett has been protesting the county’s alleged collection of revenue through the sales of hate-related merchandise at the fair.
Jarrett chained himself to the Clearfield County Courthouse Tuesday afternoon, and returned Wednesday morning to continue his protest.
While Jarrett was not identified by name, Fink said the man at the fairgrounds became confrontational with a vendor, which lead to a verbal confrontation. The man was asked to leave the fairgrounds, and when he refused, security was called.
The man was escorted to the park gates. The man became unruly and Clearfield Borough Police were called.
Clearfield Borough Police confirmed that they were called to the fairgrounds for a disorderly person Wednesday morning.
