Police Report: DuBois City

On May 29, a white-colored dump truck struck a vehicle in the 500 block of West Long Avenue and fled the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
Police initiated an investigation May 30 into the theft of items from nine different vehicles. The incidences occurred in the first, fourth and fifth ward areas, and the vehicles weren’t locked at the time.
A 911 hang-up call came from the Martin’s store on Hoover Avenue on May 30. Police weren’t able to find anyone in need of assistance.
Sometime overnight May 31, someone stole money and other items from a vehicle in the 100 block of Shaffer Avenue.
