Margaret A. “Peg” Knowles, 96 of Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg, passed away March 2, 2012 Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
Born Sept. 9, 1915 in Morrisdale, she was the daughter of the late Jesse & Violet (Pritchard) Lloyd.
On Jan. 4, 1938 in Morrisdale, she wed Job “Joby” Knowles, who passed away June 21, 1998.

She was the last of her generation.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers: William Lloyd, Jack Lloyd and Lewis Lloyd.
She was a 1934 graduate of Morris Township High School; she was a beautician and was the owner of Knowles Beauty Salon for 52 years and she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Philipsburg.
A Memorial service will be held in Wesley Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church, 121 S. Front St. Philipsburg, PA on April 20 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating. Burial was in Philipsburg Cemetery.
There was no public visitation.
