Maxine E. “Maggie” Conklin, 83, of Woodland, passed away March 30, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Mrs. Conklin was born on April 7, 1928, the daughter of Guy and Winifred (Muir) Lonjin.
She had been employed as a secretary and bookkeeper from 1945 to 1956 at Johnson Machine until the birth of her children. Mrs. Conklin was a member of the Lake Street United Methodist Church of Woodland. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed taking care of her flowers.
Mrs. Conklin is survived by her husband, Eugene F. “Beanie” Conklin whom she married on Oct. 17, 1947, two children; Gary E. Conklin of Greenup, KY and Jana M. Conklin of Little Rock, AR, five grandchildren; Megan, Kelsey, Jackie, Raymond and Bruce and two sisters; Janet Weaver of Malvern, PA and Barbara Monroy of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Lonjin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 4 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., of Clearfield with Pastor W. Lee Casher officiating. Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on April 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Lake Street United Methodist Church.
