- A minor injury was reported following a single-vehicle accident at 4:15 p.m. Friday along U.S. Route 322 in Rush Township, Centre County. Micah H. Shiflet, 25, of Philipsburg was traveling eastbound when his vehicle exited the right side of the roadway and struck the guiderail. Then, his vehicle re-entered the roadway at which time it began to rotate counterclockwise and came to a final rest, facing west in the westbound lane. Shiflet was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He was released by emergency personnel.
- A DUI arrest occurred at 5:20 p.m. Saturday in the Brother’s Pizza parking lot in Halfmoon Township, Centre County. A 43-year-old Frenchville male was backing out of a parking spot and struck a parked and unoccupied vehicle, causing damage. Upon arrival at the scene, it was determined the male was under the influence of alcohol.
- An incident of DUI occurred at 3:05 a.m. Sunday along state Route 350 at South Eagle Valley Road in Snyder Township, Blair County. A 39-year-old Osceola Mills male was stopped by state police and discovered to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed through the district court.
- An incident of fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, Act 64 and DUI occurred at 8:20 p.m. Saturday along South Second Street at Maple Street in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A 19-year-old Morrisdale male and a 19-year-old Philipsburg male were arrested during a traffic stop. The first male who was operating a vehicle failed to stop after police initiated a traffic stop. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and resisted arrest. Both were found to be in possession of prescription medication and multiple containers of Bud Light and “Fire Water.” Charges have been filed through the district court.
