James T. Holden, 66 of Osceola Mills, passed away on March 21, 2012 at James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center in Altoona.
Born Oct.26, 1945, he was the son of the late James T. and Dorothy (Jones) Holden Taylor.
He was of Presbyterian faith; a Veteran of the Navy and Marine of the Vietnam War; a member of the VFW Post 5020 Osceola Mills; a member of the American Legion and a member of the BPO Elks of Philipsburg. He was a retired supervisor for DEP. He was a 1963 graduate of P-O High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by former wife Mary Ellen (Robertson) Holden of Osceola Mills; sons Matthew J. Holden of Nashville, TN and Ryan T. Holden of Frisco, CO; sister Joni Holden of Columbus, OH; and brothers Jeffrey N. Holden of Bellefonte and Charles Holden and his wife Caroline of Columbus, OH.
A Memorial Service will be held on March 26 at 11 a.m. at the Umbria Cemetery with the Rev. Jennifer Heikes officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills. There will be no viewing. Military Honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
