CLEARFIELD – A new competition is getting the press for the 152nd Clearfield County Fair.
On Friday, officials from the Fair Board announced an Amateur Wine Making Competition. There are three categories contestants can enter their wines into: sweet, semi-sweet and dry. The rules are as follows:
- Entries must be received by July 20
- Individual making the wine must be an amateur
- Individual must be at least 21 years of age
- Wine must be made in the state ofPennsylvania.
- Only (1) entry per person per category
- Entry tee of $5 per bottle
- Entry form will be available in the official premium book and on the official fair Web site
- A  full listing of rules will be available in the official premium book and on the official fair Web site.
Entries will be judged prior to the fair. A display area will be set up in Expo II Building.
Also returning this year are the culinary contests that debuted at last year’s Clearfield County Fair. Those contests are sponsored by Ethan’s Cafe, Liberty Tax, King Arthur Flour and Fun Central.
