CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. announced today that the Clearfield County Crime Stoppers are seeking public support to help solve a case of vandalism and criminal mischief.
Shaw stated that in the early morning of Sunday, Oct. 21, 2010, an unknown person(s) vandalized the Cooper Township Sportsman Association located on Terrace and Paul streets in Winburne, Clearfield County.
Police reports indicate that a picnic pavilion had been set on fire, and back-stops for the shooting range had been cut down and burned. Additionally, a concession stand/shed had been broken into and vandalized. The cost to repair the damage was approximately $4,500.
Shaw stated that the Clearfield County Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for the vandalism.
