DUBOIS – Gary Knaresboro is pleased to announce his candidacy for Clearfield County District Attorney for the Republican primary.
Knaresboro is a graduate of Greensburg Central Catholic High School and earned a bachelor of science degree from Robert Morris University, majoring in marketing/management. He also earned a juris doctorate from Ohio Northern University’s School of Law.
Knaresboro’s law office is located at 33 Beaver Drive, DuBois. Previously, his office was in Clearfield.
Knaresboro private practice spans two decades, providing legal services throughout the commonwealth. He primarily practices criminal law.
Knaresboro worked as an intern in the Hardin County Public Defender’s office while attending law school, and upon graduation, he worked for a Pittsburgh law firm. Knaresboro served as judicial law clerk for the Honorable John K. Reilly Jr., senior judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Clearfield County.
He has served Clearfield County as a public defender, mental health commitment attorney and protection from abuse hearing officer.
Knaresboro has served as appointed guardian ad litem to protect children and on numerous arbitration boards throughout his career.
He is one of three attorneys in Clearfield County who is certified to accept death penalty cases.
Knaresboro has been editor of the Clearfield County Legal Journal for 19 years.
Knaresboro serves on many charitable organizations throughout Clearfield County and has participated in the mentoring program through Penn State University.
He has also taught self-defense to children and adults for more than 30 years.
Knaresboro is also an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting.
Knaresboro resides in DuBois with his wife, Terrie.
