HARRISBURG – Tim Britton of Tim Britton Construction has recently been named a life director for the 6,400-member Pennsylvania Builders Association. PBA is the voice of the home building industry in Pennsylvania.
Britton, a member and past president (2000-2001) of the Greater Dubois Area Builders Association for more than twenty years, received the honor at a 2011 PBA board of directors meeting in State College, PA. Past PBA president Joe Mackey presented the title.
PBA life directors earn this distinguished title based on regular involvement during the association’s board meetings over an extended period of time. The life director title is highly respected among PBA members. Life directors provide their local associations with additional voting representatives during board meetings.
As a second generation contractor, Britton opened for business in 1984. Today Tim Britton Construction is a full service Design-Build Residential and Commercial Contracting Company. In 2002, he was recognized as a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) is an exclusive professional designation designed to emphasize business management skills as the key to a professional remodeling operation. Tim Britton Construction is a board member of National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the Pennsylvania Builders Association (PBA), DuBois Builders Association, DuBois Chamber of Commerce and the Professional Remodelors Council. Britton has also been recognized as a Big 50 Remodeler by Remodeling Magazine and Remodeler of the Year by the Professional Remodelors Council. He received certifications through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) to become a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS).
