Police Report: Philipsburg PSP

An incident of theft occurred at various locations at 12:01 a.m. Friday in Philipsburg Borough. Two Philipsburg juveniles and one Clearfield juvenile face charges of theft, receiving stolen property and underage drinking after they were observed entering a vehicle and removing items. After being apprehended, it was determined that they had removed numerous items from multiple cars. All of the vehicles had been left unlocked. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
A known 18-year-old Philipsburg male had a pair of Brass Knuckles at the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School at approximately 12 p.m. Friday. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
A natural death was reported at approximately 1:05 p.m. Saturday at the State Correctional Institution at Rockview Treatment Building Infirmary. A 69-year-old male inmate was suffering from State IV terminal lung cancer, and the investigation indicated the inmate died of natural causes because of the illness.
An incident of harassment occurred at 11:45 p.m. Friday along Logan Street in Philipsburg Borough. Two Philipsburg adults – a husband and wife – engaged in a physical altercation. Charges will be filed against both through the district court.
An incident of DUI occurred at 1:03 a.m. Sunday along West Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough. A 44-year-old Woodland man was stopped for an equipment violation and charged with DUI. Charges are to be filed through the district court.
