CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Revitalization Corp. will move into a new home tentatively March 1. The new home for the CRC will be under the same roof as the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce and the Clearfield Foundation on Market Street in Clearfield.
“The CRC is looking forward to the opportunity to be under the same roof as the Clearfield Chamber since both organizations share the same devotion to our Clearfield area,” said Kellie Truman, CRC Main Street Manager. “It is our hope that we set an example for the community of how important it is to work with your neighbor and form partnerships.”
However, there is definitely a synergy created with both the CRC and Chamber working so close together, Truman said. Having both offices within the same building will internally make communication and planning more efficient and externally it will increase awareness of events and programs offered to businesses and the community. I also think the community can see more joint-efforts with workshops and educational courses being offered, Truman said.
“The Chamber and CRC are both uniquely separate and will continue to operate separately offering different programs, projects and values,” Truman said. “Each organization has its own place in the community.”
“I think it’s going to be a really good thing with the CRC moving in,” said Holly Bloom, Executive Director of the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce. “This way we are able to collaborate with each other on events and ideas to better serve the community.”
“Our Clearfield area is one team; and if one of us suffers, it affects everyone,” Truman said. “Throughout the first few years of the Clearfield Revitalization Corporation, we witnessed firsthand how dramatically successful events can become when there are more partners involved. A true example of this was our Fall Festival. There were several partners that equally made the events successful by offering different talents, skills and ideas. By taking this principle and implementing it on a macro level, we hope to see more support and partnerships evolve for a stronger, prosperous community. We hope to achieve this with our move.”
