OLANTA – Clearfield-based state police report that a simple assault occurred on Jan. 10.
According to the report, Shawn Smith, 33 of Olanta, threw a gallon-jug of water at a 28-year-old woman, back handed her and put two cigarettes out on her hand. Smith was reported to have caused injuries to the woman’s face and hand.
Smith was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge James Hawkins and is free on $10,000 bail.
