RIDGWAY – No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 6 a.m. Friday on state Route 948 in Ridgway Borough, the Ridgway-based state police reported.
Andrew M. Curtin, 24, of West Chester was traveling northbound at which time he lost control of his vehicle. He was negotiating a left-hand curve too fast, state police said.
The Curtin vehicle spun sideways, crossed the southbound lane and exited the roadway. The vehicle impacted a ditch and then spun clockwise approximately 90 degrees before sliding sideways in a northern direction for approximately 50 feet.
The vehicle came to a rest on the western side of SR 948, facing east. Curtin was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He’ll be charged with driving vehicle at a safe speed.
