CLEARFIELD – Auditions for Clearfield Community Theatre’s first production of 2007 season, “The Miracle Worker,” by William Gibson, will be held Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the CAST Building. The show will run March 15, 16 and 17 and 21, 22 and 23.
“This is a big cast for a non-musical and we need lots of different ages,” said Susan Loffredi, director. “There are a number of adult roles for both men and women, including Captain Keller, Kate Keller, the young teacher Annie Sullivan and Helen Keller’s older brother James, as well as an aunt, the maid and several other roles. As for the younger roles there is of course Helen Keller, the featured roles of children Martha and Percy, and the students of the blind school. Auditions for children will start with age 7 and go up to teenage. “
Those auditioning should bring a list of time and date conflicts with them to the audition. Listed should be any conflicts from the audition date to the end of the run of the show.
“Not every cast member will be needed at every rehearsal, but it is important to know what time conflicts each cast member has,” said Loffredi. “We typically run rehearsals in the evenings during the week with an occasional Sunday afternoon rehearsal so we need those auditioning to list their weekday evening conflicts and weekend conflicts during the rehearsal period.”
CAST is located at 112 E. Locust St. in downtown Clearfield.
