DUBOIS – Two people accused of committing crimes at DuBois Regional Medical Center appeared before Magisterial District Judge Patrick N. Ford on Friday.
Joshua Good, 19 of DuBois, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and related crimes.
Trisha Snider, 19 of DuBois, had her case continued. Snyder is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy to committ theft by unlawful taking, and related crimes.
According to court records, police were called to DRMC West after an employee caught Good with her purse. She grabbed the purse and called for help, and hospital security arrived and detained Good until police arrived.
While police were questioning Good, his cell phone rang. It was answered by DuBois City Police Officer Steve Maholtz. According to Maholtz’s report, the woman on the other line sounded as if she were under the influence of something. Another officer then attended to the woman, Snider, who was outside. During a search, a marijuana pipe was discovered on Good. A similar item was found in Snider’s possession upon a search.
It was also discovered the Snider was in possession of someone else’s driver’s license and debit card. The vehicle that she and Good were in was also stolen.
