Fun in the Snow

The Fun In The Snow At Black Mo has been changed from Jan. 21 to Feb. 4 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. due to inadequate ice conditions.  This event takes place at Black Moshannon State Park in Philipsburg.  Try your luck at ice mini golf, ice bowling, and curling.   Always wanted to try ice skating?  Here’s your chance!  Some ice skates in limited sizes are available to borrow, or bring your own ice skates.  Bring your friends and play a game of broomball.   Enjoy a stroll in the forest looking for winter animal signs and learn how to use snowshoes or take a cross country ski across the lake.  Build a snow animal, then build a box sled to enjoy the sledding area. Food vendors will be available, and the Friends of Black Moshannon will have Black Moshannon State Park clothing, water bottles, and other items for sale at the Environmental Learning Center.  Please bring your own cross-country skiis for the ski on the lake, and sleds.  All other equipment will be provided.  This event is sponsored by the Friends of Black Moshannon.
