Fourth graders at Philipsburg Elementary performed a readers’ theatre production of A Charlie Brown Christmas on Dec. 22. The students rehearsed every Friday for several weeks and each child had a role as an actor or actress, reader, props person or chorus member.
The play was student-run from start to finish, as students greeted the audience in the beginning and ended with bows from groups of students. Even the program was student-designed and signed by students.
More than 100 parents and community members attended the performances, held at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. P-O thanks all of its parents for their support.
Librarian Kay Reese, Art Teacher Megan Piotrowski, Reading Specialist Claire Mease and Music Teacher Kathryn Lessie organized the production.
