Bruce S. Coudriet, 84, of LeContes Mills died on Dec. 7, 2011 at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 2, 1927 in Clearfield, a son of the late Ellis and Lisle (Shaw) Coudriet.
Mr. Coudriet retired as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service after 25 years of employment.
In his earlier years, he worked as a sawyer at his father’s lumber mill.
He was a member of the Congress Hill United Methodist Church and a US Navy veteran of WWII.
Bruce also held memberships in the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540, Clearfield, Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6, Free and Accepted Masons Lodge #314, Clearfield, the Girard Grange #788 and the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Williamsport.
He was a former member of the Clearfield Moose Lodge.
Bruce loved both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
In addition, he enjoyed listening to his great grandson, Nicholas play the piano.
Another past time he enjoyed was spending time on his porch watching the wildlife come and go.
He is survived by three children:

Rick Coudriet and wife Cindy Clearfield
Eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren,

Irvin Coudriet and wife Janet Clearfield
And several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Helen (Jury) Coudriet on July 20, 2005 and whom he married Jan. 2, 1948 at the Congress Hill United Methodist Church.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Putt, a sister Verna Hugney and two brothers, Harold and Raymond Coudriet.
Funeral services will be held at the Congress Hill United Methodist Church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Susan Arnold and Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the Gillingham Cemetery, Frenchville.
Military honors will be accorded at the church by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Posts’ Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday from 4-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10-11:00 a.m.
A Masonic Memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
