According to WJACTV.com, a man who recently moved to Centre County was arrested on allegations of choking a pregnant woman and her daughter.
Authorities told 6News that 21-year-old Roque “Elmer” Perez is facing nine charges, including felony aggravated assault.
State College police said the incident started when the victim attempted to check a credit card balance on her cellphone in the bathroom of a Southgate Drive apartment early Monday morning.
Court documents said Perez strangled the six-month pregnant woman until she couldn’t breathe. She then fell to the floor and hit her head.
When the victim’s 11-year-old daughter attempted to intervene, police said Perez chased her in the apartment and choked her.
