Frederick Garfield Clark, 90, of Treasure Lake in DuBois, died Sunday at the DuBois Nursing Home. He was born on Sept. 21, 1921 in Brattleboro, VT and was the son of the late Frederick C. and Winifred (Garfield) Clark.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On July 8, 1950, he married Doris B. (Rother) Clark. She survives.
He was a college professor at Clarion University of Pennsylvania for many years.
He did his undergraduate work at Ursinus College. He earned his Master of Business of Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also did post graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania.
He enjoyed golfing and traveling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Wendy Gannon and her husband, Robert of Trooper; Jeffrey Clark and his wife, Cheryl of Raleigh, NC; and Timothy Clark and his wife, Debi of Falls Creek; six grandchildren, Meaghan and Erin Gannon, Jennifer Weese and Susan Riley and Timothy Clark and Sarah Burns; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Winifred Roth.
There will be no public visitation.
A private memorial service will held at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Bockus officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
