CLEARFIELD – PennDOT recently took ownership of a 3.25-mile section Route 4011 (Oklahoma-Salem Road) in Sandy Township, Clearfield County, prompting a set of traffic studies. As a result of those studies, it was determined that the safe speed limit on all of Route 4011 should be set at 40 miles per hour. The change allows for consistency in the speed limits in both Sandy Township and Brady Township.
Signs designating the new limit will be posted as soon as possible. Once posted, the 40-mile-per-hour maximum speed limit is immediately enforceable.
The area of the studies involved Route 4011 between Route 4014 (Maple Avenue) and the Brady Township-Sandy Township line.  Â
