Beulah L. Beam, 91 of Treasure Lake, DuBois, died Saturday at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born June 16, 1920 in Bells Landing, she was the daughter of the late Pearl and Ella (Bailor) Dush.
Mrs. Beam was a well-known cook at various restaurants in the DuBois area for many years.
She was a member of the Sandy Hose Company # 1 Fireman’s Club Ladies Auxiliary and a charter member of the Brady Township Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Over 50 Club and enjoyed reading and watching soap operas.
She was married to Samuel R. Beam, who preceded her in death in 1965.
Mrs. Beam is survived by four children, Donald E. Beam and his wife, Martha and John E. Beam, all of DuBois; Gloria J. Gross and her husband, Wayne of Charlotte, NC; and Karen L. Masonic Henry and her husband, Mark of Rockton.
Surviving are one brother, Raymond Dush and his wife, Jean of Brookville; one sister, Janice Salada and her husband, Sheridan of Sabula; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Louise “Petey” Kessler, one granddaughter, Terri Taylor, five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Bockus officiating.
Burial will follow in the Luthersburg Union Cemetery.
