WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – A 25-year-old Philipsburg man was injured in an automobile accident on Tuesday night.
Clearfield-based state police reported that Jeremy McCartney was traveling north on state Route 53 when he lost control of his vehicle. He traveled onto the east berm then struck a pine tree with his driver’s side door.
McCartney was removed from his vehicle by fire personnel and transported to Altoona for treatment of moderate injuries.
Police were assisted at the scene by Houtzdale and Madera Fire Companies.
